STRATAESG

Solutions, sustainability teams

A file that survives a verification, not only a reading.

Replay at a past date, assurance levels, separation of duties, sealing before publication.

In short

How do you prepare a sustainability file for verification?

By keeping every value attached to its document and to the method in force at the time, by calculating deterministically so the result replays identically, and by sealing the file before publication: two exports of the same unchanged file carry the same fingerprint. Missing data stays shown as missing, never filled by a silent assumption.

The scene

First year under the revised standards, a statutory auditor about to check, and a collection spreadsheet that will not survive it.
Sustainability lead of a company in scope

What we answerYour file has to survive a verification, not only a reading.

Built for sustainability teams

Every property your verifier is going to test.

Data entered once, with its document and its method, returned in the grammar of each framework.

  1. One dataset, nine frameworks

The product where your data lives. Entered once, with its supporting document and its method, then returned in the grammar of each framework: CSRD and ESRS, the voluntary reporting standard, EU Taxonomy, GRI, ISSB, CDP, SASB, emissions reporting and EcoVadis preparation. Every figure stays attached to what founds it.

    See: Frameworks
Nine frameworks served by the same dataAn energy consumption entered once, with its document, its version and its method, comes out under the code of each of the nine frameworks: ESRS E1-6, basic module B3 of the voluntary standard, turnover, capex and opex denominators of the Taxonomy, GRI 302-1, IFRS S2 paragraph 29(a), CDP 7.30, SASB 130a.1, item 6 of the emissions report and EcoVadis preparation. One datapointentered oncedocument, version, methodCSRD and ESRSESRS E1-6Voluntary standardB3EU Taxonomyturnover capex opexGRI302-1ISSBIFRS S2, §29(a)CDP7.30SASB130a.1Emissions reportitem 6EcoVadispreparation
  2. Every value traces back to its document

An entered figure is linked to the document that founds it, to its version, its date and the calculation method applied. The link is navigable both ways: from a figure to its documents, and from a document to everything that depends on it. You know where a value comes from, and what moves elsewhere if you correct it.

    See: The chain of evidence
The evidence chain, both waysThree linked steps, on an anonymised demonstration file: the electricity invoice grounds the ENERGY_TOTAL datapoint, which serves the ESRS E1-5, VSME B3 and GRI 302-1 disclosures. 3. A sealed file, with its verification code

Two exports of the same unchanged file carry the same fingerprint, two years apart. That is the difference between a document and a piece of evidence.

    See: The deliverables

    The deliverables

    1. Your client's own file, filled in
    2. Bounded access, not an attachment
    3. An extract, not the whole invoice
    4. A sealed file, with its verification code
  4. Not every figure carries the same weight, and we say so.

Every value carries an assurance level computed on read, never stored as a frozen status. The level falls back on its own the day the certificate supporting it expires, which a recorded status would not do.

    See: The method

    Assurance levels

    1. DeclaredThe value was entered, with no document attached. It counts, but it proves nothing.
    2. EvidencedA dated document supports the value, and it sits in the vault.
    3. CorroboratedThe value is cross checked against a second source, independent of the first.
    4. VerifiedA third party checked the value and their check is recorded in the journal.
  5. The EU Taxonomy, on the same data

Eligibility, alignment and turnover, CapEx and OpEx ratios under Article 8, on the regulatory profile in force.

Frequently asked questions

What we get asked most often.

  • Does a STRATA ESG score replace an audit?

No, and that limit is written on every deliverable. Our scores are indicative and do not replace an audit by a registered statutory auditor. What they provide is the file that audit can rely on: documents in their place, assurance levels field by field, and the state of the file at the closing date rather than today's.

  • Do you issue an ESG rating or certification?

No. We are neither an authorised rating provider nor a certification body, and we claim to be neither. We prepare a file and make it verifiable; validation belongs to an authorised third party.

  • Do you publish your calculation method?

Yes, in full, with its version and its date. Nothing requires us to: the European regulation on ESG rating providers, applicable since 2 July 2026, requires regulated actors to publish their methods, and we are not one. We publish ours voluntarily, so that an advisory firm, a statutory auditor or a bank can audit it without asking permission.

  • What do you do with your clients' data?

Nothing beyond what it was uploaded for. No reuse, no resale, no model training on client documents. The parent company site itself collects nothing: it hosts no account, drops no tracker before your explicit choice, and the only data it processes is the email address of whoever writes to us.

Put your file to the test before your verifier does.
